Reaching Out: ACLU of Pennsylvania

Effective use of the Internet is an important communications goal for the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania. We launched this site in order to meet people on their terms -- giving them the information they want, when they want it.

Needed: Timely Editing

Currency of information is the essential ingredient of the Internet; sites must be kept up to date in order to deliver value. We keep information current by using a Content Management System (CMS) that stores text and visuals in a database. The CMS does not require special tools or technical skills. We can edit the content or add new pages at any time, in plain English.

Response: WebSanity

Our site was developed by WebSanity, which planned the content architecture and created the user interface and visual design. The site uses the Content Management System editing features of the WebSanity CMS and is hosted on their servers at a national data center.
