ACLU Urges Federal Court to Release People in Immigration Detention Who Are Vulnerable to Coronavirus

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Thirteen people who are currently held in immigration detention in jails in three Pennsylvania counties have filed a federal constitutional lawsuit asking for their immediate release because they are at high risk for severe illness if they contract coronavirus while incarcerated.

HARRISBURG - The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania today filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Pennsylvania State Police and seven troopers on behalf of 10 motorists, alleging that the troopers targeted the motorists for vehicle stops because they are Latinx.
