ACLU Urges Federal Court to Release People in Immigration Detention Who Are Vulnerable to Coronavirus

HARRISBURG, Pa. - Thirteen people who are currently held in immigration detention in jails in three Pennsylvania counties have filed a federal constitutional lawsuit asking for their immediate release because they are at high risk for severe illness if they contract coronavirus while incarcerated.

ACLU-PA Files Lawsuit Over Racial Profiling and Illegal Detention by Jim Thorpe Borough Police

Western Pennsylvania Police Department Settles Lawsuit Involving U.S. Citizen Illegally Detained by Immigration Agents

PITTSBURGH – The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania has reached a settlement with the Northern Regional Joint Police Board in its case on behalf of a naturalized U.S. citizen who spent a night in the Allegheny County Jail.

ACLU Sues Pennsylvania State Police Over Illegal Enforcement of Immigration Law

HARRISBURG - The American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania today filed a federal civil rights lawsuit against the Pennsylvania State Police and seven troopers on behalf of 10 motorists, alleging that the troopers targeted the motorists for vehicle stops because they are Latinx.
