Family members of Parady La, joined by the ACLU of Pennsylvania, community organizers, and elected officials, held a press conference outside the Federal Detention Center (FDC) in Philadelphia to address Parady La’s death while in ICE custody and to demand accountability, transparency, and systemic change.

On behalf of a patient, the American Civil Liberties Union of Pennsylvania has filed a motion to intervene in Penn State Health v. Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, a lawsuit challenging the PHRC’s definition of sex discrimination. 

The decision to end the lawsuit comes as Montgomery County has made meaningful progress in reforming its probation and parole revocation system.
