ACLU-PA Bill Page SB 554

Session: 2021-2022

ACLU-PA Position: Supports

SB 554 would amend the Pennsylvania Sunshine Act to require public agencies to post public meeting agendas at the meeting location, at the agency’s office location, and on the agency’s website no later than 24 hours prior to a meeting, and to prohibit an agency from taking official action on items not in the meeting agenda. This is a commonsense measure to ensure greater government transparency.

Governor Wolf signed SB 554 into law on June 30, 2021 as Act 65 of 2021.
