The Modern Public Defense System

How has the profession’s understanding of effective representation evolved, and what do contemporary models look like?

The final installment of the 3-part “lunch and learn” series will explore how modern public defense models are changing the way lawyers represent clients, moving beyond the image of a lawyer working alone on a case to include an interdisciplinary team of professionals supporting the defense. Learn from national and experienced practitioners about the evolution of public defense practice, the national studies spurring those changes and the emerging standards and models that increasingly define high-quality representation.
