ACLU-PA Sues U. of Pittsburgh Over Student Group Suspension
The ACLU of Pennsylvania has filed a lawsuit against the University of Pittsburgh over the school's suspension of its Students for Justice in Palestine chapter in apparent retaliation for criticisms that the group made of the university.
The ACLU of Pennsylvania, Abolitionist Law Center, and PA Institutional Law Project have sent a letter of concern to Allegheny County Jail administrator’s regarding the jail's new policy prohibiting incarcerated people from purchasing physical copies of books or having physical books purchased on their behalf.
The letter asks jail administrators to respond by December 7, 2020.
