The Museum of the American Revolution and the ACLU of PA Young Leadership Outreach Team are proud to host the premiere of the latest installment of the acclaimed series "Black History Untold," as it explores “Revolution” in the context of Black history. Created by award-winning journalist Sofiya Ballin, Black History Untold: Revolution will feature panelists whose stories you will see on screen. These stories showcase the diverse and powerful examples of Black resistance or revolution on a global scale and the impact actions that the brave can have on a diaspora. Performances from special guests will include OhMyJah, Philadelphia-based vocalist Lee Mo, and international slam poetry champion Jamal Parker. Panelists will include Jamira Burley, who was named to Forbes Magazine’s “30 under 30” list for her community activism, and Mike Africa, Jr., whose parents were both part of the MOVE 9. The panel will be co-moderated by Ballin and Timothy Welbeck, an attorney, professor, writer, and hip-hop artist.
