Bio

Elizabeth Randol brings a wide range of professional experience in higher education, nonprofits, as well as public and private sector positions. As legislative director for the ACLU of Pennsylvania, Liz oversees the organization’s legislative program and team. Liz began her career at The University of Scranton teaching philosophy and political science while serving as the director of the campus women’s center and later as the director of civic engagement. She left higher education for public service and politics, first serving as Lackawanna County chief of staff, then as policy director for PA Treasury, and then spent the next ten years managing political campaigns and issue-based advocacy initiatives. The Fourth Amendment must prevail

SB 912 accomplishes nothing that a warrant couldn’t currently provide. But by erasing any meaningful distinction between those arrested and those convicted, it succeeds in undermining constitutional rights to due process, counsel, and the presumption of innocence.
