Know Your Rights: A Handbook for Public School Students in Pennsylvania addresses current issues affecting public and charter school students, including the right of free expression, religion in school, student use of the Internet, student privacy, school security and policing, discipline, immigration, language access, students with disabilities, enrollment, student contact with the military and sexual health and education.
This booklet discusses student rights, when they can be exercised, and when school officials can limit them, and offers practical tips for students.
Although written primarily for students, the handbook is useful to students, educators, parents and guardians, and journalists alike.
The English version was updated in August 2013.
The handbooks are free, but we do charge postage for orders of six or more copies.
