Bio

Vanessa Stine joined the ACLU of Pennsylvania in September 2018. Prior to joining the ACLU-PA, Vanessa was a staff attorney at Justice at Work (formerly Friends of Farmworkers), where she represented immigrants in consumer protection, employment, and immigration matters. She graduated from Villanova University Charles Widger School of Law, where she was a Public Interest Scholar, and from Lewis & Clark College with a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology.  (Philadelphia)

Why PA county officials should think twice before cooperating with ICE

The ACLU of Pennsylvania recently sent a letter urging county officials to implement a policy of only honoring ICE detainers if they are accompanied by a valid judicial warrant backed by probable cause, as required by the Fourth Amendment.
