Summary

The ACLU of Pennsylvania filed a federal lawsuit on September 22, 2015, on behalf of three African-American Pittsburgh residents, including a constable, who were verbally abused by a police officer, threatened with arrest for attempting to record the interaction, and, months later, falsely charged with disorderly conduct in retaliation for filing complaints with official city agencies.

On February 6, 2018, Pittsburgh City Council agreed to settle the lawsuit.
