• Handle web-tools, including the website, blog, Facebook, Twitter, and email listserv
• Organize public activity around legislative issues
• Other miscellaneous tasks that occur in a small, non-profit office

LOCATION
This internship is available in our Harrisburg office or in our Philadelphia office. An intern in the Philadelphia office must be willing to travel to Harrisburg during some legislative session days. Compensation for travel is available.

QUALIFICATIONS
Commitment to and enthusiasm for the mission and goals of the ACLU required. Superior oral and written communication skills. Computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and/or demonstrated ability to learn computer applications. Proficiency in Publisher and Excel helpful. This position is ideal for those in law school or who are studying political science, communications, and sociology. All majors and programs are welcome, however.

The most valuable benefit is the experience gained working in a non-profit advocacy office, particularly in one small enough to enable interns to see their impact. Additionally, the ACLU staff is happy to write recommendations and otherwise support its interns, whenever appropriate. Credit can be applied to course schedule when the student has successfully completed the necessary hours and work required.

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis until the position is filled.  Send a cover letter explaining your interest, along with a résumé and writing sample to hbginfo@aclupa.org or to:
