Barbara Forrest Exhibits

Of Pandas and People, the textbook to which the Dover Area School Board referred students in their statement about intelligent design, has been central to our argument that intelligent design is simply creationism in disguise and therefore unconstitutional. Below are some of the exhibits introduced in court on October 5 during the testimony of Dr. Barbara Forrest, an expert on the intelligent design movement.

These slides show that after the 1987 US Supreme Court decision that found the teaching creationism in public schools unconstitutional, the publishers of the textbook originally called Biology and Origins and later renamed Of Pandas and People substituted the word 'intelligent design' almost every place that 'creationism' had appeared.
