Voter ID Lawsuit

In May 2012, the ACLU of Pennsylvania, the Advancement Project, the Public Interest Law Center of Philadelphia (PILCOP), and the Washington, DC law firm of Arnold & Porter LLP filed a lawsuit in the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania to overturn the voter ID law. The law was permanently blocked in the spring of 2014 after Governor Corbett declined to appeal a federal judge's ruling that the law was unconstitutional.

If you experience or witness problems on Election Day, such as misleading signs at a polling place indicating photo ID is required to vote, please report it immediately to the Election Protection Hotline at 866-OUR-VOTE (866-687-8683).
