On January 22, 2008, 200 community members, students, and activists gathered to honor the 35th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade at Muhlenberg College. Award-winning filmmakers Barbara Attie & Janet Goldwater hosted a screening of their documentary, Motherless: A Legacy of Loss from Illegal Abortion. Other speakers included representatives from organizations in the Lehigh Coalition for Choice: the Muhlenberg College Gay Straight Alliance, the Allentown Women’s Center, Planned Parenthood of North East Pennsylvania, and the Clara Bell Duvall Reproductive Freedom Project – ACLU of Pennsylvania. Wade by getting involved in our pro-choice short video celebration! This short video celebration will focus on the importance of being pro-choice from the diverse perspectives of young students, community members and activists throughout the Lehigh Valley! Regardless of your experience with filmmaking, here’s your chance to make your own video. We invite you to tell us your pro-choice story! For instance, when did you first realize you were pro-choice? Creatively portray the moments that led you to identifying as pro-choice and use your camera to tell us what being pro-choice means to you. The questions below are meant to be a guide.
