Knowledge and Availability of Emergency Contraception in PA Pharmacies

The Duvall Project has been involved in a national advocacy campaign to make emergency contraception (EC) widely available in pharmacies. As part of this effort, Duvall conducted two surveys of the availability of EC in Pennsylvania pharmacies.

2002 Pharmacy Survey

In 2002, Dr. Wendy Bennett, MD, MPH, and the Duvall Project surveyed 315, or 10%, of licensed Pennsylvania pharmacies. Two female researchers posed as community members seeking information about EC, presumably for themselves. Read more about the survey.
