Advocate for A Women's Agenda

Help Pennsylvania move from worst to first in women's political participation (currently PA is ranked 47th!).  Come to Harrisburg to learn how to lobby your legislator and then do it! 

WHEN:  Tuesday, April 4, 2006 from 11am-3pm

WHERE:  North Office Building, Hearing Room 1 in Harrisburg, PA

WomenVote PA and the National Council of Jewish Women-PA have organized a brief training sessions on how to lobby your legislator as well as informational sessions about numerous pieces of legislation affecting women in Pennsylvania including:

• Victims' Rights:  Compassionate Assistance for Rape Emergencies (CARE Act)  
• Preventing Insurance Discrimination Against Victims of Domestic Violence
• Fairness in Prescription Drug Coverage or Contraceptive Equity
• Ending Pharmacist Refusal to Provide Birth Control
• Gender Equity in Athletics
• Opposing the Constitutional Amendment Banning Same-Sex Marriage
