Speakers' Bureau

The ACLU-Greater Pittsburgh Chapter offers speakers for classrooms or organizations to present on a wide range of civil liberties issues. Speakers regularly visit schools, churches, social service agencies, prisons, civic and community organizations. ACLU speakers are knowledgeable and experienced in conversing with diverse groups in a variety of settings.

There is no charge for speakers (financial contributions are accepted, but not expected). Please contact us at least three weeks prior to the date of your event to allow us time to match the most qualified speaker to your program.

Our volunteer speakers are available to lead discussion on a variety of issues. Topics include:

  • Civil Liberties After 9-11/The Patriot Act
  • Reproductive Rights
  • Minors’ Rights to Healthcare
  • Voting Rights
  • Racial Equality
  • Free Speech
  • Privacy & Cyberliberties
  • Religious Liberty
  • Death Penalty

The ACLU is a non-partisan organization and our programs are funded through membership and donations. We accept no funds from special interest groups or the federal government. Nor do we endorse political candidates or political parties.
